We enjoyed walking along the river on the Terrace. Lots of picture taking opportunities and space to be had in a convenient, centrally located place! My only regret is not having time to do the historical tour of archaelogical architectural remains under the boardwalk! View all feedback.
What Alisa Rosenhaus doesn't like about Au 1884:
Don’t even bother buying toboggan tickets online, you’ll still have to wait in the same long purchasing line as everybody else just as long as if you didn’t buy them in advance. Also, you have to wait in the long ride line repeatedly for every ticket that you use. View all feedback.
An experience of a lifetime. Looks stunning in both day and night. The city is lit so perfectly at night. Remember to go for a stroll after dinner. Very picturesque!
Quebec City is one of the nicest cities in North America. It has lots of history and beautiful sites to visit. The landmarks are endless as are the scenic views. The Dufferin Terrace is one place to take in the scenery of the Lawrence River. And the beauty of the Chateau Frontenac adds to the ambiance!

We spent 10 days in Quebec and stayed in a nearby hotel just walking distance away. We walked to the terrace everyone morning grab a coffe at starbucks and sit on a bench overlooking the river and watch all the locals stroll by. I only regret that we did not come later in Dec and have a chance to take the toboggan slide. This is a ver scenic area and a good starting point to walk down to Petit Champlain or stroll over to the plains of Abraham. Or pop into the magnificent chateau castle.
Great historical place with the beautiful views of Château Frontenac, Old Quebec City and Saint Lawrence River. Warm and lively atmosphere, perfect for a relaxing walk.
