Very nice Sunday am vibes. All vegan restaurant with great food. Great decor and even a nice sidewalk table (just 2) nice staff. Had the tea and avocado toast which was quite good. View all feedback.

I’ll preface this review with two things: First, I’ve been coming to dirt. Coffee House since they opened and will continue to do so long as they’re the best coffeehouse in town. As they gathered momentum, they’ve improved and I’m certain they’ll continue to do so. This town was ready for a proper go-to coffeehouse, and this is quickly shaping up to be the best place to meet up. Secondly, their vegan menu options are a welcome change to a town that, in 2006, boasted the top-spot in the Guinness Book of World Records for, “Most fast-food restaurants in a square mile stretch.” Bravo. With that said, what first stands out is a lack of consistency in the preparation of standard, go-to coffeehouse beverages. Ordered a dry Cortado? You might get a drink that resembles a wet cappuccino. Ordered an extra-dry cappuccino? You might get it, or you might end up with a Café Latte, and your guess is as good as mine. This pain point refers back to what I said in the opening – I’m confident they’ll improve because as any business gains momentum, they standardize training across staff and improve consistency.Admittedly, the drip coffee is where things take a downward turn. You’re charged coffeehouse prices at 12:30pm for a diner-quality cup that was made when they opened. Twice now I’ve had afternoon meetings at dirt. only to be served lukewarm or downright cool coffee. While on the subject of regular ol’ black coffee, there exists no regional, single-origin variety and no pour over or Aeropress options. A number of enthusiastic local roasters offer single origin coffees with full Fair-Trade certification and most offer ethical supply chain transparency. The pour over option is one way to deliver consistently fresh, high-quality black coffee, particularly for those customers who enjoy single origin coffees. But when it comes to espresso, they hit way above their weight class. I gave them an additional full-star for this alone. Finally, the environment: it’s perfectly nice, but it lacks personality and an identity. Step into any craft coffeehouse in the NYC, DC and Philly metro areas and you’ll immediately get a feel for where the community stands on social, economic, and political issues, even if you’re disinclined to support those issues or you find them controversial. There’s an interesting historical context to this and dirt feels less like home because there’s no sense of shared community identity.

Everything I've tried from dirt coffee house has been good. My only wish is for them to offer delivery. The service is always friendly and lattes are made wonderfully. I like the space. It's not usually too loud and it's a great spot to read a book to study or get creative.
I'm so grateful to have such a great place close by. I love the atmosphere, food/drink and service. My favorite thing to get is the London Fog latte, and sourdough toast with cream cheese.
