Contribute Feedback What Colt Adams likes about Blackwattle Deli:
if most fish market calls only in these days, they would expect blackwattle is a tear-off place for fish businessmen who need some delicacies, but it actually has an impressive selection of good cheese, meat, olive and many others, all at quite standard prices. I have not tried the sandwiches (hopefully the brot does not come from the terrible bakery next door), but as deli it is really good. View all feedback.
What Vekoslav Puvalić doesn't like about Blackwattle Deli:
Update 23/7/17, macchiato was luke warm in a take away cup, long black watery, forgot our sugar in the coffee.
Grabbed a flat white and double macc before jumping in and braving the pre xmas crowd at the fish market. They serve heaps of cold cuts and various marinades and sauces too along with excellent spread of cheeses. View all feedback.
Sydney Fish markets !!!!! Very very popular place…never get a table anywhere…as my sister says, on the weekdays you fight for your food and table with the seagulls, and on the weekends you fight for your table with the Asian tourists!!! Nonetheless…it’s always a awesome place to go and have a nice seafood lunch, and bring some fresh fish home to cook for dinner… So much variety too! There’s a pretty good yum cha place upstairs- I went to a reception there once with fabulous food as well….then you have places to buy your sashimi, and oysters, grilled/fried/steamed seafood…and most of all..you can get crab there cooked for you with the sauce you want!!!! After your amazing...read more
Love it or loath it, SFM is truly a fascinating place where seafood lovers can feast their eyes on almost any imaginable seafood and vivid images of how they can be cooked at home. After all, Sydney is an amazing city for seafood. Where else can you get such fresh varieties of seafood at 7 am in the morning?
Food Heaven. Recently discovered the Blackwattle Deli on a trip to the Sydney fish Market. Although the markets themselves do not leave much to be desired, the pushing and shoving of tourists and seagulls is tottaly worth it when you come down to th end of the arcade. Gorgeous to look at, amazing display and eevery niche product you can think of. and the cheese?? WOW it's the best election i have seen acrosss Sydney. They scored a few award with their cheeses and there is a young cheese guru girl there who knows just about everthing cheese related! I also picked up abaout every single obscure ingredient i have been looking for. As for price, yeah they are a few bucks more...read more

We are trying to get to the fish market early, and to the breakfast time, I really don't feel like floating in the fish and chips. blackwattle deli is therefore the only choice. good that they are good.! They have a small selection of baked, but we go in the rule for their breakfast special of a coffee (I thought the latte art was rather whimsical) and a roasted sandwich (I think it was $10 for both.) this time we got one with kimgyu melted and smoked it was a little bit but also crispy and delicious. it also had provolone cheese and Japanese mayo. yum.
