Lovely, lovely people in this café! I normally pass by every day for coffee (if I can) and sometimes a jaffle (their home-made toasted sandwiches - of which there are plenty). One of the few places that will take EFTPOS for just coffee - this is a big plus for me, as I never use cash these days. Very friendly and the coffee is great - and in a reasonable-sized cup too. A lot of cafés these days are offering much smal... View all feedback.
What Reuben Boyer doesn't like about Big Mouth:
Unassuming cafe in Pyrmont that specialises in Jaffles - a sophisticated toastie - so a great lunch or breakfast option- open from 7.30 till 3. The menu sounds interesting - popped in and chose a filling of bolognaise and melted cheese. Choice of white or brown bread. What arrived was less than expected. Taste buds were not happy - ordinary bread, and a filling that was far too sweet for my palate, let alone what I w... View all feedback.
I have ordered takeout from this restaurant several times and the food has always been excellent. During my first visit, I tried one of their jaffles which was filled generously and stayed intact while I was eating it. I also found the prices to be very reasonable.
Incredible! Pyrmont is my go-to spot for lunch. They offer a fantastic variety of tasty jaffles, and their small salads are both delicious and affordable.
This place is perfect! Ever since Big Mouth opened a few months ago, I haven't eaten lunch anywhere else. Their jaffles are incredible, with a variety of options to try. The sandwiches are also fantastic - fresh and huge (you can get half sizes if you prefer). I usually get takeout, but sometimes I sit in their lovely back courtyard. The prices are very reasonable as well.
I've been going to Big Mouth Cafe for years and it's one of the places that survived and thrived during much of lockdown and more. I used to go there all the time (when I was based at WeWork Pyrmont) and these days I barely get there. However, I went there today after at least 18 months and it was better than I remember (and it was good then). Fair prices, beautiful fresh bread, well made, foiled perfectly and the staff are just wonderful (and the same group of winners I do remember). Even though I don't get to Pyrmont that much anymore, I think I will try to make some special trips there. LOVE THEIR WORK!
The food and drinks are all nice especially the milkshakes Staff are nice definitely recommend :
