Zumbo is a Sydney dessert icon, and I love trying his creations that pop up at food festivals across the year. This one was a neat lil creation that had an actual edible chocolate cup! Inside there was a milo flavour marshmallow, then a brownie cake and then ice cream! Yum! View all feedback.
What Kathryn Nolan doesn't like about Adriano Zumbo Patisserie:
What do I look for in a macaron?
The filling must be light, not overwhelming, smooth and not over sticky so that eating a macaron will be clean without much stuff sticking on my teeth.
The crust of the macaron is thin but the crust of Adriano Zumbo's macarons is dry and semi-hard. Each bite breaks into the soft centre of the macaron.

When I think of dessert, Zumbo always comes to mind with his amazing creations and rich flavours. While the cakes are quite pricey for its small size, it’s definitely worth it as each bite is full of flavour. We had the passionfruit tart, lemon meringue tart, and the vanilla cake. The tarts are very smooth on the inside. The meringue was very light and not overly sweet. We loved the vanilla cake, with its many layers of.. vanilla-related textures. Zumbo at The Star has a variety of macarons and cakes available, though I do wish there were a seating area.
Couldn’t remember what flavours did i get. However look how colourful the macaroons are~ and they are literally as good as how they look. Not that sweet
Grabbed a couple of macarons after a show. Plenty of other patisserie goods too. I went for a salted caramel macaron and a popcorn one. Crunchy outside and deliciously soft filling. aroundtheclockfoodie.com
