Called here after walking to the falls. Real pub full of character and different beers. Rocky was here with his beautiful dog 'blue'. Plenty of pictures on the walls of famous people who like us had called in for a pint. Real ozzie pub View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Pub in the Paddock:
4 friends dined here for dinner. The beer was cold, the place was great with history and views. The food unfortunately did not match the setting. We ordered chicken schnitzels and pork ribs. The chicken was reconstituted and 'imported' (as advised by the owner). I assume there is an absence of chickens in Tasmania. The pork ribs tasted old and were reheated. The cauliflower in the roasted veg had black spots from age. Chips were ok. Where is the great Tasmanian produce?.
Nice quaint pub sitting in the paddock. 3 pigs in a pen doing what pigs do Novel place to visit although I hope they don't really let the pigs drink beer!!!
In the middle of a road trip, we decided to stay there for dinner. By the time the service started, we were greeted by an adorable lady, who served us good Tasmanian beers, quite cheap too. The meal for him was more expensive, but really understandable given the quality of the meat. A great time from start to finish! Hope to see you again
A wonderful place to breath in country air, view a working farm but especially relaxing in this interesting pub. Plenty of signs to read, an assortment of refreshments and food. Also the opportunity to meet the pigs who are happy to be fed a refreshment. #crazycarrsgapyear #jandaljournals
Literally in a paddock, this pub is a mecca for off-roaders,dirt-bikers and city slickers like ourselves.A large pig pen greets you as you park with a carved sign appealing to you to feed the pigs beer...and they drink it voraciously! The pub has an open fire and old fashioned country design which beckons you to put your feet up,stay a while.Staff are super friendly, and the beers on hand are many along with Seeds cider on tap.The pub food is really delicious and my BLT had more local bacon than I'd seen between two slices of bread before.Outside seating is huge and ,of course, there's the paddock for overflow.
Great meal, good service. What a great country pub. Very friendly and a beer drinking PIG! Kids loved it.
