1st time there in a long time and was really impressed. Very good food and very good (and quick) service. Easy to book and felt very friendly. 2 open fires also add to the ambiance.
What LABMUM doesn't like about World's End - Almer:
FANTASTIC FOOD AND STAFF. LET DOWN BY SERVICE. TOOK 45 MINUTES FOR MAIN MEAL TO ARRIVE THEN HAD TO WAIT AGES FOR DRINKS. REAL SHAME AS IT WAS MOTHER IN LAWS BIRTHDAY AND OUR WEDDING ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION MEAL. View all feedback.
Excellent place for a late night bite after drinks with friends at The Portrait just a couple of steps above.
We went as a family for lunch and it was faily quiet so the service was really quick but the waitress didn't really talk to us much. I loved it because
This pub is a must-visit for either a drink or a meal. If you pass by without stopping in, you'll be missing out on one of Dorset's best establishments!
This was a birthday lunch, on a cold but sunny day. The place was warm with two large log Fires either end. Having pre booked we were immediately greeted and ordered drinks. The service throughout was attentive and efficient. The food was of good quality. Compared to 2 other pub/restaurants in the area, the standard was way above. We hope to visit again before the holidaymakers come to Dorset. I recommend The Worlds End.
The restaurant is extremely clean and inviting, with a friendly and attentive staff. The menu was great and the food was delicious. The vegetarian options were creative and packed with flavor, which is uncommon in a pub setting. We had a fantastic meal and would absolutely come back here again, and highly recommend it.
