The Grand Malhar - Pune

The grand malhar near bibwewadi is one of most underrated restaurants in Pune.This place never fails to impress me wit their prompt service and scrumptious food. If you love non-vegetarian food this is a place where you can try new dishes at a reasonable rate. We ordered chicken tikka and pompret rawa fry for starters with murg handi for main course. Chicken was soft and juicy and tikka was perfectly cooked with appropriate amount of spice. Pompret was fresh and tasty. Murg handi was tasty too. Pompret is little expensive for 550 rs per piece. Ambiance 3.5/5Food 4/5Service 4/5Value for money 4/5Note: Although the place was entirely empty they did not allow us to sit on sofas which they were saving for god knows who.

I've been to this place a couple of times in the afternoons., just before they close down so it isn't crowded that time and the lighting is very dull.<br/ <br/ They give you two menu cards, one for vegetarian and poultry items and the other for sea food.<br/ <br/ Amongst the starters I've tried the French fries, crispy chicken and golden fried prawns. The chicken and prawns were good. However, the French fries took forever to come I wonder why), and when it came we were disappointed since they had added a lot of chat masala on it which ruined it's taste for me.<br/ <br/ For the main course I've tried murgh makhani and murgh banjara with appams which was quite good.<br/ <br/ We ended the meal with their complementary paan shots which was cool and very refreshing., kinda like liquid betel leaf mouth freshener with a hint of mint. The best ever sea food and awesome service good staff no issue of parking cleanliness and hygiene is properly maintained.No complains .Serves good.Home delivery is also good.

If you're looking for good quality, delicious seafood, this is a great place to try. My ratings are based simply on the food for this one. The ambience however is dull. we sat downstairs, which is better of the two floors. The service is (very) slow but the staff is friendly. The important thing however is the food which was delicious. Everything we tried was yum. Seafood was on point and chicken was delicious too. They also give you complementary pan shots in the end. Known for the sea food... Tasty prawns. And delicious surmai! Must try Biry1. The ambience is OK too. A good place e to visit with family. Must prebook bcoz mostly crowded. It's like version of Nisarg
