Was Sam Keshvari at Roost a mag?
Typically crowded during the hours you'd expect, but good acoustics enable conversation. Some covered outdoor seating. The coffee and drinks are superior to Starbucks, and reasonably priced. A seasonal selection of fancy brunch items is available with good sharing options. Nice place for a relaxed chat, casual date, or project brainstorming session. View all feedback.
What Jeremy Boutin dislikes about Roost:
Although the staff is friendly and reasonably accommodating, the café often appears dirty and disorganized. The food is tasty, but the prices are doubled compared to its actual value. View all feedback.

I really appreciate that they offer gluten-free options. Their pastries are amazing, and the staff is consistently friendly.
Staff are friendly and there are lots of breakfast, lunch, and snack options to choose from. The avocado toast was ok, but the bread they use is wafer thin and seems right out of a bag, which really detracts from this item. Coffee was good but a bit too sweet for my liking (should've said something when ordering, so that's on me). Lots of indoor and outdoor seating, but the minimalist interior means it gets loud with only a few people. Also note that the parking lot is shared with other businesses, so finding a spot can be difficult depending on time of day.
(4.5) Roost has consistently been the premier coffee shop in Pullman. The coffee is excellent, and the breakfast menu is outstanding. The hash browns are perfectly crispy, which is a delightful rarity. I particularly enjoy the eggs Benedict, avocado toast with eggs, and the breakfast sandwich. My husband is a huge fan of the breakfast burrito, and our daughter is crazy about the baked oatmeal. While their pastries are enjoyable, they tend to be a bit too sweet for my taste (which costs them a quarter point), and they do offer gluten-free options. The lunch menu doesn’t quite match the quality of the breakfast offerings (resulting in another quarter point deduction), but it’s still quite good.
Nestled in the heart of Pullman, this newly renovated café has quickly become a local favorite, praised for its excellent quality, friendly service, and inviting atmosphere. While a bit on the pricier side, the breakfast sandwiches and house-made syrups, including cherry cold brew and piña colada matcha, are worth every penny. The spacious interior, adorned with comfortable seating and a serene vibe, is perfect for studying or casual gatherings. Despite some concerns about a loss of charm amid growth and website inconsistencies, the café remains a delightful spot for food lovers and coffee aficionados alike.

The breakfast was excellent, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere. The staff was friendly, and we loved the coffee!
Fantastic coffee shop and café! The staff are friendly, and the food is absolutely delicious.
This is a fantastic place to relax and have a conversation. They offer many delightful local bakery options!
The food and coffee here are excellent. All the syrups are made in-house, making it a wonderful spot to enjoy a cup of coffee. If you require power outlets for your work or school devices, be aware that only some tables have them, and they tend to fill up quickly, so it's best to arrive early. Additionally, on chilly days, the two-door entry can make the area a little drafty, especially when it's windy.

We frequently visit for coffee and occasionally for a meal. The atmosphere is vibrant and inviting. The service is consistently outstanding, and you never have to wait long for your food or coffee. They are dog-friendly, offer gluten-free options, and are very welcoming to all.
The prices are a bit on the higher side, but the quality makes it worth it. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, which adds to the experience. I also loved the creatively illustrated menus and special offerings.
The coffee is quite good, and the food is solid, with plenty of gluten-free choices available. However, the seating is limited, which isn't really their fault. It tends to get quite loud, as the layout is all in one room. It’s a popular place for studying.
This charming little independent coffee shop is a gem. The service was outstanding, and the coffee was even better. I tried the lemon lavender scone, which might sound unusual, but it was visually appealing and absolutely delicious. I was able to relax, have a quiet conversation, and savor a leisurely start to my morning.

I had a fantastic experience at this restaurant. The coffee was smooth and not bitter, and I really enjoyed their avocado toast with scrambled eggs.
This restaurant offers high quality food and efficient, friendly service from professional staff. The prices are reasonable and the menu offers amazing options. The interior is beautiful, clean, and spacious, with the bonus of WiFi and a quiet space for studying. The cafe has a small, calming atmosphere with bar seating, large tables, and a charming bonus room that provides good lighting and a peaceful environment for studying and reading. It stands out from the average cafe with unique items on the menu like chocolate torte, mushrooms, and quiche, all at a reasonable cost. This is definitely a must-visit establishment.
The first time I came to this coffee shop and loved it! I had not expected to be so spacious and also a lot of seats loved the vibe and the coffee was soooo good!
Still good, but I feel like it's missing some of the vibe/charm it had when it was smaller. Where have all the plants gone? It seems much more sparsely planted than before, and it's very loud. Also, their marketing and website upkeep has dropped off the face of the earth I used to be able to check in the morning and know exactly what pastries they had, with pictures (important to know when you're only there for the gluten free stuff). Nowadays, it's nearly impossible to find easily accessible and accurate information. I have to scroll through toooons of merch listings on the website, with food items intermixed, just to find out that their one gluten free pastry is sold out. However, it never seems to be reflective of what they have in store, because if I call, they list completely different pastries. Maybe they just don't care because business is booming regardless? Anyway, I still like their food and drinks (especially the homemade syrups) and I find it to be a nice place to study if you can actually find a table.
