This is a no frills eatery in the Colaba by lanes right next to the Taj Mahal Hotel. This over 100 year eatery is famous for its flavoursome paya with dry Khabous Rotis...Have daily specialities as well...Most regulars demand large succulent Chicken Fry...Biryanis are also available. Mineral water and chilled soft drinks available...Prices are down to earth and very easy on the pocket. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Cafe Bagdadi:
This is a very old establishment, the quality and prices have stayed pretty much low. The fact that it is overshadowed by the glamorous neighbour- Bademiya, is quite a shame as the food is pretty much the same. The food is nice and not for the ones who are of a strong constitution. This is a regular mans food outlet not a restaurant with service and great ambience. people come here either for the price or for the foo... View all feedback.
The place looks like it could fall apart any moment but the food is delicious. For the ones looking for a cozy couch and a healthy bite....this is certainly not the place you want to go to. The curries are oozing with flavour (and oil)...the naans are the biggest I have seen in the city. The phirni is a must try. For the ones who know Delhi this place is like 'al jawahar ' in chandni chowk. The chicken Korma, lamb biryani, beef bhuna and liver masala is what I recommend.
Typical moglia food best is biryani chicken tikka tandoori and you cannot eat more than two rooti as
When we arrived at the cafe, we were initially warned to try the fancier restaurants instead. However, we decided to give it a chance and were pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was not upscale, with old walls and decor, but the tables, dishes, and utensils were all clean. The food was delicious, surpassing even the meals we've had at 5-star hotels. None of us experienced any stomach issues after eating here. Despite the appearance, the food was worth taking a chance on. Highly recommended.
Nice place to visit. has an old world charm. Go there when you are really hungry and want to have some great biriyani/rice. Or also if you just want to have a peaceful tea with snacks
The seats really aren't that comfortable, but the food is very good and the prices are certainly right for the budget traveller.
