Listen I've been around the block a couple times and traveled to a lot of places and been to many bars. This place is JOKE! We went Friday night around 11:30 and was kicked out before we even got a drink. The JERK that was working the front took 14dollars cover charge then comes up to us and tell us were to drunk. I guess that's one way to make money but TRULY A SCAM. Thisbar needs to be investigated. Also.. I seen a girl bragging on center street is 19 and was able to get in. I'm shocked thisplace is still open
Staff is very rude. Specifically the guy at the door. You can go in for free but they 'll walk around after wards and ask for a cover, why not charge upon walking in ? Didn 't let half of our party in for being too drunk , umm, it 's a bar ? Just skip it.
Honestly, just pick any other bar in Provo or Orem. Hell, just go to the liquor store and buy your own booze if your only other alternative is ABGs. It's unfortunate this is the only bar in downtown Provo now that City Limits closed (while not GREAT, CityLimits was definitely much better). Staff and clientele have a tendency to be kind of rude. If City Limits was a dive bar, thisis a few steps below it. Believe the one- and two-star reviews you read.
A good bar if you?re looking to drink and hang out, not a lot of dancing, but the drinks are pretty inexpensive

I think they don't know what a diver should be. Supposed to be: Dark, atmospheric, cheap beer and not terrible...
For a bar this place has plenty of delicious food choice, service is great and the prices are great! Nick was attentive and helpful with food and drinks....
The staff is quite unfriendly, especially the person at the entrance. You can enter without paying, but they ask for a cover charge after you’ve already gone in. Why not collect it upon entry? Plus, half of our group ended up getting too intoxicated. I would suggest skipping this place.
My husband and I are from Florida. We know the Liquor laws in Utah and didn't really expect too much of this dive, but...
Honestly, you might want to consider any other bar in Provo or Orem. If your only option is ABGs, it’s probably better to just go buy your own alcohol from the liquor store. It’s unfortunate that this is the only bar in downtown Provo since City Limits closed—while it wasn't perfect, it was definitely a step up. The staff and clientele here often come off as rude. If City Limits was at a certain level, ABGs feels like it's a few steps down. Take the one- and two-star reviews seriously; they reflect the place accurately.
