Had a late lunch here during our vacation and it was a chill no fuss kinda spot! Food was great and people were nice. Both had the fish and different sides. It is across the ritz and next to an ice cream parlor. View all feedback.
My family absolutely loved this place! Our kids were amazed by the beach-front seating and even though they're ridiculously picky eaters, they cleaned their plates every time and even asked for more. That's a personal record for them and that fact alone made the visit worthwhile. But it was so much more than that. I found the food to be some of the freshest I've ever had ANYWHERE. I ordered the Conch Sampler and it was the perfect way to try a few different styles of conch. The coconut cracked conch was my favorite. My wife ordered the snapper and said it was the best fish she'd ever had. Anyhow, the flavors here are spot on and the service is super friendly. Our meal at Bugaloo's was one of the highlights of our entire trip. If you're visiting Provo, I highly recommend it.
The conch salad is a bit overpriced at $25 but damn it's good! Pretty reasonable grilled lobster. Picturesque location with lots of outdoor seating and views. Friendly service (although not always super attentive, but you can go up instead of getting their attention).
Yelp has this place in Australia. It 's not there. Yelp doesnt like places that don 't follow US addresses, so people put in whatever. It 's on the island of Turks and Caicos, which is in the carribbean. Anyway, Bugaloos is fun. I feel like they 're trying to have a party vibe on a very windy beachy with a salty low tide though. We got there for an early dinner and the music, a mix of EDM, early Aughts hits, and some songs by Shaggy was bumping and almost too loud. By the time we left at 7:30, there was hardly anyone there still and a bunch of tables were still marked reserved , which is curious. Was a whole group of people having a short party there before the place closed? Why was the music so loud? It felt like they were trying to create a party vibe on a wednesday night, middle of the week..... Also, the service was a bit mixed. We got there a smidge later than planned and within about 2 minutes of sitting down, before my brother in law and his oldest son had even sat down after going to the bathroom, one server came and asked what we wanted. I got big what food do you want energy, which was weird. We 'd just sat down and hadn 't even looked at the menus. We ordered waters and then asked for a few minutes to decide. The lady then literally didnt come back for close to 15 20 minutes and all 3 young children in our party were getting hungry. So, the social awareness/perception wasnt there. She loved the 3 small kids in our party too, so you 'd think she 'd have wanted to come back sooner than she did. Even with Island time being a thing in in the Carribbean, which I love, but it felt like too much time, and it looked like for part of it (I could see past everyone into the building proper) she was just sitting around. That all said, the food we got so many things on the menu I won 't list them all, mainly because I can 't remember them was very tasty and very much worth the price. But, my cracked conch felt really rubbery and my fiancee 's coconut cracked conch felt fresher. I guess mine was either re heated or it had been caught a couple days before. I honestly still really recommend this place if you find yourself in turks and caicos, it was some of our favorite food from the trip.
The food here was very tasty. This is only our 2nd day on the island but we have been overly impressed with the food. The seafood is to die for and super tasty. We stopped in here on the recommendation of a gal we sat next to on the plane. She liked this place more and said it would not be as crowded. We went during the lunch hour and felt we had the place to ourselves. To have sand under our feet or even eat in the water was super fun. My wife had the cracked conch and I had the peppered shrimp. Both dishes were hot and cooked perfectly. The fries were an added bonus. My wife elected for the up-charge and getting the mac'n'cheese. She was not sad by that choice. If you are just arriving to the island don't be surprised by the sticker price. Everything is more expensive here.
Great food. We loved everything we got. The conch ceviche was fantastic. My first time trying conch! Would recommend but it is quite expensive more expensive than you would expect. There are other equally casual spots that are cheaper, but food was good.
