Pastiche Fine Desserts - Providence

You've had fruit tart, or at least you think you've had fruit tart. Then you have Pastiche's fruit tart, and realize that now this is what it's supposed to taste like. Unless you've had fruit tart in one of the fine patteseries in France, this is the closest you'll get to it on this side of the Atlantic. I like the fruit tart, from its flaky yet firm enough crust, its decadent filling, to its perfectly ripened fruit top. It's pretty pretty pretty good.

Overhyped place, tiramisu tastes like grocery store cake

This is a favorite! The hot chocolate is the best in town (and we tasted a bunch! , the walnut truffle cookies are amazing, and the homemade caramels are worth the calories. Very limited seating, so plan to pick you treats and head out to enjoy.

Lovely little old school cafe. Came in for a dessert and got the flourless chocolate cake. Fairly priced and was a hit at the dinner I went to. Also the peanut butter brownies rock!
