We stopped here for lunch (it's one block from the beach). We ordered the fried fish and the coconut shrimp. Both were good, but we felt the breading was a little too thick on both. We also ordered the grilled veggies, but they looked a little less than fresh. We were the only ones in the restaurant at lunch, so the service was very attentive.

I must preface this with the fact that my husband hates seafood in a big way, and the name of the restaurant alone would normally compel him to walk the other way. But I got him to go with me. I'd already been there a few times before he got here. The eggs Benedict was sooo good! The hollandaise sauce tasted like it was made from scratch and they drizzled a balsamic reduction on top. The flavors were really very good together. Yum!

We stopped in one (early) evening for the fresh seafood. With a name like Fish & Fish it has to be good, right? We ordered the seafood stuffed mero (grouper) and were told it actually came with the seafood on the side. Okay, but when it came to the table you saw why it wasn't stuffed. It was more of a seafood platter and the piece of grouper was not much larger than the other seafood. That was a little disappointing. The food and sauces were all very fresh and well prepared, so we did enjoy it. The service could have been a little faster, we were one of two table as it was still quite early and we still had to wait a little to get refills on our drinks. When we were leaving the owner came up to us and chatted for a minute. We told him we wanted to come back to Progreso to maybe buy a house and he gave us his card a lot of information on the area. when we come back, we will definitely be stopping by!

My husband and I had an amazing meal here in February during a cruise stop. It is an easy walk from the downtown area. First time eating octupus, and it was delicious! The shrimp diablo was more like a barbequed shrimp, so very flavorful but not overly hot. The owner brought us garlic infused olive oil to dip our black bean and salsa covered chips into. The grilled vegetables were the best, so make sure to order them with any meal you order as an extra side We didn't realize that sides came with the entrees, so we had a table full of food. We asked to meet the chef, and he smiled thanks to us.We highly recommend cruisers make the walk to the restaurant as there were only a couple of other patrons there, and we were so well treated. The beer selections are bigger (and cheaper) than the restaurants on the beach front.
