Nothing special about the food or service. Service was catered to Japanese customers and as non-Japanese, I felt we got the second class treatment. Place was dark and gloomy. Pricey. View all feedback.
My hosts brought me to their favorite restaurant and it did not disappoint. I tried the sashimi of the day and the tuna was exceptionally fresh. Another standout was the seaweed salad- it was incredibly fresh, juicy, and flavorful.
The service at this restaurant is excellent and the food is delicious. It is our favorite authentic Japanese restaurant. Our favorite dish is the Ume Hiball.
Not so , a good ramen and lots of Japanese dishes to choose from. Rice is a bit mix of authentic and local rice, but still a good place to eat.
The place is fine. The food is great. The Ramen taste authentic and the serving is good (can be shared). I like their yakiniku. It's so tender and very flavorful. The ambiance is the same as a typical resto in Japan (Not the high-end ones). The service is just okay though the waiters seem to have no idea of the food they are serving.The food is kinda pricey too. A sushi wood cost you around 35 pesos each while you can get the same quality at a lower price in a different restaurant. IF YOU'RE IN CALAMBA, YOU CAN GET THE BEST RAMEN FROM IPPONYARI.
I was supposed to have a late lunch last Sunday 7/10/2016 with my wife and kid here . Having had a favorable experience with their Nuvali branch we were expecting a good experience . The place was not even full when we came in andexpected to be seated but the waitress just pointed to a table in the non-smoking area and indifferently told my wife and son to seat . i was parking my car at the back and it took me a good 10 min to find a space. When I finally joined them at the table nobody even bothered to approach us or offer a menu . Luckily , there was a waitress who was asked to take a photo by a group who just finished at the next . I had to ask that waitress for a menu which I feel a customer shouldn't even have to do . I thought it should automaticfrom a business point of view. Another 20 min passed and still no sign of that waitress or the menu yet I can see a bunch of them huddled on the counter . Again it wasn't a full house at that time being past 1 pm already. It was then we decided to just leave and lo and behold ..the waitress finally shows up with the menu which at that point was useless . This is not how you treat customers . Management needs to train their staff to be attentive .
