We picked up an order for dinner on a Saturday. They told us it would be 20 minutes, and the food was ready promptly when we got there. It was also nice and hot, even by the time we got home (20 minutes away).I got the chicken Marsala and my husband got the crab cakes and shrimp. Both came with mashed potatoes and steamed veggies (zucchini yellow squash). Oh my goodness our meals were SO tasty! Each of us said we wou... View all feedback.
What Gma In Charge doesn't like about Cafe Grace:
First of all the restaurant was very cold as if the didn’t have any heat on. Second food wasn’t that great , didn’t know they would over toast the bread which made the sandwich hard to eat because everything was falling off. Service was very good and attentive a plus now days. Fries were very hard and over cooked, food was mediocre. Answer to when we were there was about 2 or 3 weekends ago. No it was not a warm day.... My take on it is that restaurants keep it cold so you don’t stay long, and hurry up so they can accommodate more diners.
Delicious food. Excellent service. Will be going back.
You’ll love the atmosphere, very historical and unique one of a kind. We had breakfast here it was cooked to perfection.
Service was awful. I was stressed today so I wasn’t particularly chatty with the waitress and she apparently took it personally and gave us the worst service we have ever received here. I had the Reuben and it was inedible. It was sooo tough! I told the waitress and instead of apologizing, goes to the kitchen and loudly tells the cook I said his food was garbage. I heard him swearing back there but again, no apology. My husband’s food was good and the appetizers were good. I had heard this place had gone down hill and unfortunately it’s true. A real shame!
My first time dining here and it was for brunch. This is a cute little place that looks like it used to be a house renovated into a restaurant. There's a small gift shop in the entrance. I chose a small Caesar salad that came with a piece of garlic toast. It was ok nothing special for $7, so I'd probably passon it. I also got the soup of the day which was cream of mushroom, and it was delicious. I would recommend if it was offered again. My SO got the Red Rooster scramble. It didn't look overly appealing but he said it was good. He ordered a Cosmo, and I tried it and it was super good! The server was friendly, and the atmosphere here is cute. I remember the coffee was hot and fresh too. Overall, a good experience, and I would give it another try for breakfast, lunch or dinner if I'm ever in the Princeton area again.Vegetarian options: Salads, side dishes, soupParking: Free parking lot
