The decor is nice and inviting... read more We visited on a Thursday night when the restaurant was almost empty, I.e. there were only 2 other tables at the same time as us. The decor is nice and inviting and we were given a friendly welcome. It was downhill from there on.The service was extremely slow and the food bland. My husband ordered the lamb which was tough (at $46 we were expecting better). One of our party had a pasta dish which looked as if it has been standing for several minutes; the sauce on top had nearly all dried out, judging by the time it took to get served, this is probably what happened and it was not very tasty. I had salmon which was ok but quite bland and nothing special. The last in our party had mussels and they certainly were not the best he had ever eaten. He also ask for more fries which never came. Considering the prices, we were expecting better quality of food and service. All 4 of us were disappointed and definitely will not return. Added to that, the cloak room smelt strongly of dampness and we kept hearing crashing noises from the kitchen throughout our meal, whichis not very professional!I failed to understand why the service was so bad considering it was nearly empty.

Food somewhat bland, salmon tartar..hard to find the salmon, loaded with aneth. Prices more expensive than on their site. Would not bother going back. Very inconsistent in most aspects.

The food is incredible, the service is ama... read more We moved in the area about a year ago... tonight we discovered not only a great restaurant but a home away from home. The food is incredible, the service is amazing and the welcoming feeling we feel as we step in the restaurant makes it a place to come back over and over again. We tried different combinations on the menu from a home made cesar salad to a beef carpacio for starters to an exquisite buffalo steak to a salmon tartar for the main dishes to a chocolat souffle and some calvados fritters with a caramel sauce for dessert! Simply divine. Everything from the general ambiance to the food, to the great wine selection nothing is overlooked. To top it all, the owner's wife beeing an artist you can also see some of her paintings throughout the restaurant. It is fully worth the detour if ever you are in the Laurentians! The best thing about our evening is that my husband and I are blessed to live only a few minutes away from this wonderful restaurant that will surely become one of our favorite place to share with family and friends!
