Nick's - Prescott
Nick's
Description
Nick’s is a family-friendly, diner-style spot praised for standout pizza and a broad comfort-food menu (lasagna, souvlaki, gyros, veal parm). Service is consistently friendly for dine-in and takeout, and plentiful free parking makes pickup easy. Food is made from scratch and good value, though limited staffing can slow service and occasional inconsistencies have been reported (dry chicken, thin burgers, non-traditional poutine). Delivery is not offered.

While we were house hunting in the area, we decided to stop for a quick lunch, and it turned out to be one of the best lunches I've ever had. I ordered the Greek salad with a souvlaki skewer combo, while my wife chose the beef stew and my sister-in-law opted for a burger combo. The food was outstanding, the atmosphere was pleasant, and the prices were quite reasonable. We can't wait to return! We highly recommend this place. The service was also very friendly.
I cannot recommend the burger or the poutine. The burger did not match the description on the menu; it had minimal toppings and a very thin patty. It looked and tasted quite disappointing. As for the poutine, I don’t consider it true poutine since it was made with shredded cheese instead of cheese curds. I approached it with optimism, but once again, I was left unimpressed. The taste was lacking as well. On a positive note, the coin-shaped fries were good. The service and dining area were satisfactory, typical of a diner-style restaurant.
One of my old times favorite ? "The Nick 's special ? "Kid-friendliness: Family restaurant
This is a very nice little restaurant with a pretty extensive menu. A lot of typical Canadian favorites are on the menu and they even have a unique take on poutine. The pizza is typical of Eastern Ontario and definitely worth ordering. It takes a bit of time for the food to come out as the staffing is bare minimum and the food is made from scratch.
