My first time in Wellington was fantastic! The staff were friendly and chatty, creating a lovely atmosphere. I went there with my cousin and her husband, and her son was the star of the evening—he’s an amazing singer and played the guitar beautifully. The service we received was quite disappointing. We were served the wrong dish and then left without any food at all, as no one informed us that there was no ribeye steak available. Lovely pub, great staff. The score would have been 5but a small mix up with the order had our starters and mains arrive together. However the food was delicious, piping hot and very good value. We will all definitely be going back.
We took my mum for some lunch, the food was excellent, best pub food I've had for a long time. I had mixed grill cooked superbly, fish was also A1.
The service was quick, and the prices offered great value for the quality of the meal. We will definitely be returning. The two ladies who attended to us were very friendly, helpful, and attentive. They even checked in on us five minutes after we started eating, which is a nice touch that enhances the overall customer experience—something that not enough waiting staff do. The ingredients in our meals were fresh and crispy, indicating good kitchen practices. The shandy we ordered was well-balanced too. The desserts were delightful, although the sauces had slightly runny consistency from the heat. A nice touch was the warm brownie served at the perfect temperature. Overall, we had a fantastic meal in a clean, friendly setting at a reasonable price. I highly recommend this restaurant. Well done!
