What NZ mymt dislikes about Union Fare:
It was not so busy when we visited for brunch, but the staff was not friendly. They found us at the entrance and just ignored us. I felt embarrassed when being seated, ordering foods and making payment. Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4 View all feedback.

This has to be the worst dinning experience. The place was not busy, and the food took over 35 minutes. Presentation of a 1 year old and cold. Cheese rolls not an example of Southland fare. Coffee burnt. Just a complete waste of money and time. Be warned!!!!! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Not a pleasant experience. Vegan toast with a cold poached egg on .. a brush of oil would have been nice, browning avocado salsa bland, blob of hummus had nice lemon flavour. Small hot salmon lovely. My favorite place to grab a coffee and a bite to eat. The most wonderful, friendly ladies and I always leave after having such positive interactions. Can’t beat their chai lattes either! Couldn’t fault it.
