Description

This small‑town, nostalgic cafeteria serves hearty, homemade breakfasts and lunches—pancakes, biscuits & gravy, hash brown casserole, roast beef and a celebrated fried chicken—plus a broad all‑you‑can‑eat buffet and local coffee. The roomy, dated dining room and familiar staff create a warm, family‑friendly vibe that draws regulars. While many praise the comfort food and tradition, occasional slow service and uneven dishes have been reported, so expect classic, affordable comfort cooking rather than refined or fast dining.

We've visited this restaurant for breakfast during previous trips and found it to be decent. However, on our recent visit today, we experienced terrible service. We waited a full hour for our food, which ultimately was disappointing.

Classic Mom and Pop place. Not necessarily gourmet, just good home cooking. Waitstaff are awesome!

I grew up going to Don 's after church on Sundays from 1972 '81 when my father was minister Pratt UMC. Today was a glorious step back in time as my family and I were in town for Memorial Day Weekend. The trays, plates, salad bar, salads, dessert above the salad bar, mashed potatoes, brown gravy, green beans, roast beef and of course, the state 's best fried chicken were as good as ever!! Plus, seeing the plates still up in the dining room? Are you kidding me?? Bravo to all current and former ownere/employees for keeping this tradition of excellence going strong. We moved to Wichita is '81 when all ICT cafeterias were in full swing Towne East, West and the Wichita mall. However, none of them could hold a candle to Don 's. Chorizo and eggs were great! Glad we stopped in on our way through Pratt.

The food here is terrible I would honestly eat at a hospital cafeteria over this place. You can tell a restaurant isn’t good when they are trying to sell used cars in the parking lot… And if the food wasn’t bad enough the service is terrible as well, the waitresses seem bothered to do their job. I would avoid this place at all costs.
