Last night I was on a lawn trip with a group of friends and on the signal of a local student I went to this historic lawn biscuit. It was Saturday afternoon and there was a bit in a row outside the store, but they disposed it quickly. the specialty are the cantucci: I bought a package from half a kilo that I have not yet opened. Then I bought a cookie with raisins and rosemary with a very special goto and the lady gave me some kind of friable muffin. service rather than courteous and kind. the furniture of the xix century so vintage alone justifies a visit to this pastry shop.
Although you live here in Sardinian, you have no idea what the emotion that is trying to untie that blue rope that closes the mythical bags and breathes the smell that is poured even before tasting them. brings me back to the years of youth spent on the lawn, with whirlwinds in via garibaldi to take us pizzas to the cut, visits to the window of the photographer ranfagni, or to the stained glass to see the exposed trains and on Sunday, on perennial order of the father. and when you are about to return it passes of brick and take biscuits and pay attention to the money. now comes the package and with the same tirchieria of Uncle duckone centellino the cookies, because if I finish them all of a bang (and it would make me great! So what do I eat, the bag? roberto putzolu
This small shop specialize on traditional biscuits, and it does it perfect. It contains also a small museum which I did not go into. Every product that I had a chance to taste was delicious. Also a very friendly staff helps to improve the shopping experience.
So I am sure that the whole world (except me) knows that the correct way to eat a biscotti is to dunk it in dessert wine. Well I learnt something new today from the owner seen here.
A little gem in a small town: do not leave Prato without stopping in this famous pastry shop. This place is fabulous, elegant and very charming. A paradise for cookies! We bought many bags of the famous almond biscuits to take them with us and make some presents.
