Family ownership and operation I will drive from Clovis to Prather to get their cream of mushroom soup!

I tried to drive my car after it had been a mechanic and since I had not eaten and it pushed 11:00, I was seriously hungry. I went through Auberry and saw nothing (although I must be there), so I started down the hill and went through Prather. I looked at this place, but the signs led me to believe it was a caterer and a meeting place. But when I reciprocated, I saw a sign on the hill that said breakfast. And that's exactly what I was looking for. When I approached, I could see tables, so I thought I would try. I was greeted by a very friendly lady who brought me a menu. The menu is not extensive. It is simple and covers the basics. I had eggs, ash-browns and toast. I know it's not very exotic, but it just fits me. The food was brought quite fast and was delicious. A small complaint is that the toast was served dry, with this foil packed butter stuff. And everyone knows that the toast is too cold to melt the butter. It should be throttled when it comes from the toaster. The ladies checked me regularly to see that I was a happy camper. When I finished breakfast, I ransacked the big cold cases that lining the wall. They had everything from food to cake. It looked delicious. I admit to getting a lemon cookie and a piece of cake. They were both from this world. Bottom line-very nice people. Efficient. And specialties that make your mouth water. Give him a whirl. You won't regret it.

The food is wonderful and the baked goods are so tasty! I ordered a cake for my daughter?s party, and not only was it beautiful, but the best tasting party cake I have ever had!! It tasted like a homemade cake with real and fresh ingredients. And, it was a very good price as well!

Love this place and the ladies that work there. Sorry to see them go, wishing them all the best.

I go with my wife to this restaurant from time to time! This is my favorite restaurant to grab a bite. I go to this spot frequently. The food is fantastic, the team is friendly and the charge is reasonable. I enjoy meeting in this spot for a rich meal.
