La Gare - Prague

Great, high class French cuisine. Waiter was very kind and respectful with us taking our time with a long, 4 course meal. Wine was really great with a good selection. The ambiance was cute and I love how close it is to the Marriott hotel!

Chose not to eat here because they wouldn't seat me in a booth even though there were plenty of seats. It was pretentious for a non-Francophile Environment. The lunch menu did not have anything that stood out as distinctly French. C'est la vie.

The restaurant is just across from Marriott Hotel, and we went there based on the hotel concierge 's recommendation. The menu seems to change every day and posted on the restaurant 's website. The server was very nice and discussed our needs patiently. We ordered Rabbit Marengo baked with tomatoes plus a salad. The dishes looked pretty, but the flavors were nothing special and derived mainly on the trifecta (fat, sugar and salt). We would expect more at the prices the restaurant charges (perhaps reflecting the price level of the city). We later found a number of other restaurants nearby that served much more flavorful food at similar price levels.

There are many great restaurants in prag, but this is one of the best. strange is her simple salat the best I had in the city. salad is hard for the little ones, but this rock. fresh great ingredients the right dressing. the bacon tartine is essentially the best pizza in the city. and everything on the menu is delicious, but not so delicate that they can not go here regularly. great place!

A wonderful break from the traditional Czech cuisine. this place stands over its weight with quality, service, value and ambiente. I had the Duck breast and she had the 1/2 chicken that she rave, and it was perfectly grilled and spiced. highly recommended.
