We stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant while exploring Old Town Square on foot. It is located behind the Old Town Council House, next to the famous Prague Astronomical Clock. The waiter who seated and served us was excellent - funny, knowledgeable, and very courteous. The food and beer were delicious, and my wife loved her perfectly cooked dish. We have already recommended this place to our friends and family, and we will definitely be back during our next visit to Prague in a few days.

We'll come here for the second time to eat. the black bear is good, nice served. we loved the goulash in brot. the best in town. the waiters were both really nice. comes back to the next visit of praha!

A nice respite from the touristy frenzy around the Prague Square. Tucked away in a corner with lush garden and timber furniture, it’s good to order a beer and lunch and put up your legs. We have 2 game meats, wild boar and rabbit. Both braised thoroughly and tasty. However the sauces are overwhelming. Decent service staff. The counter girl keyed my rabbit in wrongly and they sent the duck. She came over to apologised and said we’ll have to wait another 15 min for the rabbit. That’s nice.

This is a great place to try traditional local dishes. We tried a delicious goat soup in bread, a flavorful salmon salad, and a recommended roasted pork dish. The bread in the soup was especially tasty. The portion sizes are quite large though, so if you're not too hungry, consider sharing or ordering something smaller. Overall, we had a satisfying meal and the total bill, including drinks, came to 1200kc (about $48 USD), which was a reasonable price considering the quality of the food. We would definitely recommend this restaurant.

This restaurant is wonderful with its lovely terrace overlooking the old town, although it is a bit hidden. It may not be the most affordable restaurant in Prague, but its location justifies the price, and it is still quite reasonable. Be sure to try the goulash, the chicken wings, and, of course, a refreshing half liter of beer! I highly recommend this restaurant!
