I was browsing the internet looking for a place to buy some plants when I stumbled upon Honey Brook. It's a charming spot with a warm and welcoming host. They offer honest and delicious home-cooked food in a relaxed setting. The gift shop has a nice selection of items and a decent variety of plants, including bedding plants, shrubs, and some perennials. It was a delightful visit and we will definitely be coming back... What User doesn't like about Honey Brook:
The omelette with bacon and mushrooms was poorly made with large chunks of bacon scattered on top, rather than cooked into the omelette. The edges of the omelette were dried out, the chips were hard, and the coffee was lukewarm. If it weren't for my friends, I would have been extremely disappointed with the quality of the meal and would never return. Additionally, a dog begging for food at the table was not a pleasan... This is a beautiful small tee and country shop and small garden center. we are regular visitors and the owner mercedes is an extremely friendly and attentive host. nothing is too much annoying. the menu is varied and good with a beautiful. selection of homemade cakes. the shop offers a range of local and customized gifts and a range of animal and equidae supplies. the small garden center offers some beautiful plants to very competitive trips. Dogs are very welcome where they get a biscuit and lots of fresh water in a bowl. mercedes goes the extra mile and runs a wonderful and relaxing small complex that, as it is just the a44 is very close to some of the most beautiful opposite of the country. we will continue to return to this beautiful little tee room . highly recommended
My Memory Cafe group from Llandrindod Wells really enjoyed their first visit to this cafe; so much so that we have booked Christmas dinner here next week. I loved the goat curry which was made with local goat. It can be very difficult finding goat...curry in mid Wales! Good portions, well presented food and friendly service. Staff also attended a Dementia Awareness session so they are now a dementia friendly business too. There are lots of animals around including dogs, cats and alpalcas. It seems a good safe place for children to enjoy too as the steep drive down to the cafe ensures that visitors are well away from the road. The shop is well stocked with a wide range of gifts and plant. Many items are priced suitably for child to spend pocket money but there are some lovely more expensive quality items too.
Friendly staff, lovely home made food, and excellent shop, well worth a visit. Myself and my family love coming here as its on our way home. Thankyou
Very good breakfast at a reasonable price, owner very friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit just to meet Maisie the Manchester Terrier! Next time I'm in Wales I will consider making a detour to include this cafe.
Called in for lunch on way home from Aberystwyth. Have visited here many times under previous owners. The food on this visit was the best. Ordered Jacket potatoes, one with creamy bacon and mushroom, the other with creamy cheese and leek. Both were absolutely delicious...and served with a beautiful tasty salad. All made fresh but not too long a wait. By the time we had drunk our coffees it was ready. Prices were very good. Mercedes and her staff were very helpful, and approachable. Nothing was too much bother. We were able to take the dog in, as she was unhappy being left in the car. Lovely little plant centre and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be calling in again next time we are passing. Thank you Mercedes and staff. June, Trudie and Sophie the Jack Russell.
