The Castle Kitchen in Montgomery used to serve fabulous coffee, but has now switched to a poor quality brand. The service has been lacking, and the woodburner is rarely lit, leaving customers cold. The food quality and service have also been disappointing to some diners. However, others have found the food to be tasty, homemade, and delicious. Despite some mixed reviews, many still enjoy visiting the cozy venue for lunch, with favorites including quiche, salad, and carrot cake. The Castle Kitchen is a charming spot above a deli, offering a warm atmosphere and a good selection of food and drinks.

Was NigelinCheshire at Castle Kitchen a mag?
Just nipped in for a Saturday morning coffee with some friends after visiting Bunners. Three of us had hot chocolate in July! Great spot and got a table outside in the courtyard at the back. View all feedback.

What NigelinCheshire dislikes about Castle Kitchen:
We were staying in Montgomery and going to Montgomery Show and nipped in here for a coffee and a slice of toast. We sat in the sunny but shaded courtyard surrounded by vines and figs. Beautiful. Great place and great staff but they are missing... View all feedback.

So friendly service. super cake and tea/hoe chocolate. so glad to be back. they have survived years of insurance and limits in business. only slight errors are at the weekend believe that they should remain open at the earliest to 4-30? I love this place deli is excellent...to!

Terrible! it really took about 25 minutes for my man to get two take-away coffee and a folding jacket. both coffees proved to have sugar/sweet and were poured away and the folding jacket was over sweet. he had waited so long to get the coffees that. he refused to go back to complain/refund. we had to take away food because they did not allow dogs. very disappointed.

A beautiful environment for lunch and delicious food, but overpriced for the size of the portions. I ordered her piedemont a roasted pfeffer for £10 with garnelensalat. the meal consisted of half a small roasted pfeffer with 5 black olives, two roasted cirches. tomato and a damaging filet. I could have eaten it in two mouthpieces. fortunately it came with a generous slice of delicious brot and butter. the side salad selections were delicious, but in very small portions. as I said at the beginning, eating was delicious, but compared to many other places we visit, it was overpriced.

Always a fabulous place to come for lunch, we had the special, chestnut Wellington. Tasty but chestnuts probably made the texture a bit claggy. Anyway, more to the point, I had the rhubarb and custard cake to follow. This was absolutely gorgeous, nom nom! Moist, tasty and delicious flavours. Partner had a scone, this was also really light and fluffy. Beautiful! All compliments to the cook!

You can get shabby chic or shabby! Staff are great, really friendly and welcoming. Lunch was good, nothing we couldn't have cooked at home. Portions have decreased, while prices have increased. It could have been so much better.
