Blue Boar Pub - Powys

Pop in hay on wye after hiking in the mountains near. I tested this pub for eating. open fires, real ale and great honest pub dug. I really enjoyed my visit.

This was recommended to us by a native and we were not disappointed. it has a beautiful mix of old worldy pub vibe with more modern outside the marquee area. we arrived shortly before dinner, but could order after 1730. we were welcomed and quickly helped. our drink orders were taken and delivered on the table, but we found it easier and faster to order the rest of our requests at the bar that was good. eating that was easy on the side of the love came out quite quickly and I was not sure what to expect. we ordered the burgers on the menu and to be honest, I was really impressed. it was one of the most tasty burgers I had in one and was delicious. it was worth the money. a decent pub vibe in the beautiful surroundings of hay on wye.

Managed to make a walk with my son on Sunday. welcome and all staff friendly and attentive. Sunday meat roast with all the circumcisions is the best I have ever had, will surely go again when I go back so

A pretty back pub. clean and tidy. it was necessary to sign up with details that use on kovid 19, sanitizer so well on this count. excellent service from the bar staff, friendly, helpful and professional. cannot comment on eating as we had none, but a table was over, and they seemed happy.

My favourite thing about the Blue Boar is the atmosphere here. The guys working the bar and delivering the food out are all cheerful and lovely, and who can blame them? The pub's awesome and the decor is old timey without seeming stiff or artificial. Lovely building in the centre of town, too.
