A large group of us went in on Friday for the first time in almost 10 years. (A previous owner of this pub screwed over a bunch of regulars (long story). The service was stellar. We couldn't ask for anyone nicer or more accommodating. We tried a few of their special drinks and they were all good and inventive but the Goodbye Earl is the best drink I've ever had, anywhere. What Jessica Gibson doesn't like about Poultney Pub:
This is inflation…tired of paying for food that sucks. I ordered the pulled pork and the falafel sandwich. The pork was sloppy, overdressed with a sweet BBQ sauce which made for a terrible meat to bun ratio and it didn’t have much cole slaw. The falafel was non existent, more like a falafel paste smeared on store bought wraps with huge chunks of raw cucumber and lettuce. Total: $38.00 plus tax and tip. Horrible, will... Had a lovely evening here the other night! Drinks were strong and food was tasty!
We've eaten at Poultney Pub dozens of times, and never had a bad meal or experience. The food is way above standard bar fare. Beet salads, squash ravioli, corned beef poutine, charred pancetta and brussel sprouts. It's solid, well executed and well presented food. Big tap list, local regional bands many evenings, friendly staff, clean. The pub is an asset to Poultney and the surrounding area. Best place to eat dinner within a 30 minute drive, easily. Parking: Lots of street parking on both sides of the street. Never a far walk.

Perfect for post ride grub. Had the BBQ nachos and Boss Burger. Sooo good!

Stick to just music, the food is barely satisfactory.
