Oktoberfest Germania - Poughkeepsie

We ordered the Stuffed boneless pork chop takeout event on May 1st... For $12, you get a nice size stuffed pork chop, mashed potatoes with gravy, sauerkraut, a sliced of bread, and chocolate cake as dessert. Can't go wrong with this deal! The food was delicious! Pork is nice and tender, creamy mashed potatoes... We are looking forward to the next event!!

Germania Hall is a German cultural association It's a quiet spot for a Wednesday lunch. There are very few, and far between German restaurants. The food has an authentic German flavor. Had the chicken paprikash with mashed potatoes, and mushroom soup. Real mushrooms in the hearty soup My friend had the bratwurst, sauerkraut and German potato salad. She said it reminded her of the happy stay she had in Germany many years ago. 11/17/18 Germania's annual Christmas sale and extended menu. It was busy, but the food alone is worth the wait. While on line there's time to look at the handicrafts and schmooze with the vendors. There was a heated tent to have lunch. That was a good thing!

Great food! I ordered online and picked up a great meal with a drink to go from Germania. I've been to the Oktoberfest many times and this is the next best thing. Great German food take out dinners on Saturday nights. Nice!

Good food in generous quantities, handmade with care! And don't forget to get your take out German beer!!
