I had an america visitor who wanted Mexican so this was their choice. Food was fresh, staff helpful on heloting selction and nicely served. We sat outside on Baywater Road, munched and people watched. They are licensed. I thought it was a little expensive for what i though we got. View all feedback.

Lazy workers having too much fun at not noticing that the condiments were empty - which they always are. Ask to have them filled and you will wait a century!! Only two orders were on the line for prep - lady came into pick hers up and off she went. My order was called and off I went home. I got her Veggo nachos and she got my chicken nachos. To begin, I want to say that GYG is one of my favorite restaurants! I go there at least once a week and always order the same burrito bowl. I recently moved to Kings Cross, where there is a GYG location that I love. However, I have noticed that the staff there can sometimes be rude, unhelpful, and make mistakes with orders. Despite this, I usually order through the app and have never had any issues with my order until last night. I ordered two bowls with chopped onions added, but when I started eating, I noticed that the onions tasted strange, almost like bleach. My boyfriend also experienced this issue with his meal. When I brought it back to the store to get a fresh order without onions, the staff told me they couldn't do anything because the onions were added after the order was made. Even though I had clicked on the option to add onions and it was shown on the label, they refused to help me or give me a refund. The staff were extremely rude and unhelpful, even shouting at me as they walked away. I was left feeling embarrassed and upset by the lack of customer service.
This restaurant is located throughout the city and offers a standard menu. It serves basic Mexican fast food, but nothing exceptional.
Recommend this place if you love TexMex.....very good and tasty, just what it should be. Friendly staff
If you enjoy Mexican cuisine, this restaurant may not be the best option for you. When this chain first opened, the food was fresh and the service was excellent. However, these days it seems like everything is just a part of a routine, with the assembly line of burritos being uninspiring. I used to visit once a week, but now I only go about once a month, if even that. I enjoy spicy food, but one time I ordered spicy chicken and it was so hot that it was practically inedible for anyone who doesn't have a high heat tolerance. With a little more attention to detail and less rushing, this popular cantina could get back to its former glory.
This food outlet is very welcoming and good value for money. The burritos are well wrapped in tin foil and served by a friendly staff. Sadly utensils are still available that are single use plastic, but despite this enjoy the experience.
