Maxfields provides a wonderful dining experience that ticks all the right boxes for a fantastic night out. The food was not only delicious but also carefully crafted, with flavors that truly shone. Cute restaurant with extremely kind staff. We were there about 5 mins before they stopped making food and didn't realize, but they still made it for us and the burgers were incredible.
The restaurant is average food, but good location and great terrace on the river to eat outdoors. Every time we go there something is not available from the menu (drinks or food) so maybe they should consider reducing it and rotating items. I had a Nicoise salad with very raw tuna(just a sliver browning at the edges, but I was hungry and I ate it anyway). Dressing very bland and little -I had to ask for additional oil, but the worst were the raw green beans! Never in my life I have been offered raw green beans in any form. They need to be at least blanched. The only good dish seems to be the wings.
Recommend to us for lunch, did not disappoint. Beer selection was amazing as was the food. Definitely Recommend!

We ordered 2 short rib sandwiches on Ciabatta roll with Arugula salad and two glasses monkey beech wine.
I had the Ribeye Steak and requested no potato, opting instead for double vegetables, which they gladly provided. The steak was cooked exactly as I wanted. The soup was incredibly flavorful, and the service was excellent. However, I found the iced tea to be a bit on the bitter side for my liking. The outdoor seating overlooking the river was lovely. They also have a full bar available. If you plan to visit, I recommend allowing at least an hour for your stay.
John was an excellent waiter! The atmosphere and staff were very friendly. We did wait an hour for our food, but it was absolutely delicious. I would definitely return!
I heard that Maxfields is a fantastic restaurant to visit when in Potsdam, and I can confirm that the reports were accurate. We went on a Saturday night without a reservation and were fortunate enough to be seated. Unfortunately, we missed out on a table in their lovely dining room, but that was our oversight. I highly recommend making a reservation for next time—we certainly will! Instead, we settled into the bar area, which was quite pleasant. They offer a nice drink selection, and their beer list is extensive. Our server was polite, friendly, and very capable. The duck dishes we ordered were delicious and arrived quickly. We were thoroughly pleased with our meals. I have nothing negative to say about Maxfields; it's a charming little spot. We would definitely return and absolutely recommend it. Bon appétit!

I really enjoyed my visit to this lovely restaurant. The food was great, and I particularly appreciated the exposed brick and decor. I ordered a Cobb salad and was pleased to find that the portion size was just right—not excessively large like some salads can be.
Delicious food and great service! I've visited frequently and found it to be very affordable, but absolutely worth it.
