There were complaints about the bread quality, messy lasagna, and issues with using a gift card. On the other hand, some customers praised the warm and friendly staff, excellent service, and authentic Italian cuisine. The food quality was highlighted, with compliments on dishes like couscous, chicken, merguez, lamb, rabbit, and desserts. The noise level was a bit high for some diners. We are here several times and eating is consistently delicious and cheap. service is always great.
The carpaccio was excellent as well as the bass piccata.
The location on seven curls was better, but the restaurant is well run.
It was a very mediocre experience. what was good? they had an off-menu red, which was wonderful and my sea bass ? was excellent. not so good? the brot was not great, the lasagne had done about, so delicate noodles and too much cheese, so was a chaos on the plate and the cheese sample came with fridge cheese if cheese should be served almost always at room temperature. Finally we tried to use an AMEX gift card and said gift cards do not work in restaurants. our bill was $90 so we left our $100 gift card plus another $10 cash. when they came back to tell us that they couldn't use the gift card, they brought back the card, but not the money. I paid with my usual card and it was unpleasant to leave only a $10 tipp if $20 on a $90 tab is a generous tip when eating wasn't very good. Finally, no one asked us how the meal was at every point or I would have pointed out what was good and not as good as I hate to leave reviews that are not excellent.
Roberto and his staff handled a nearly full house with professionalism and care. Food was great!
