Il Capitano - Positano

The location is priced into the food. The terrace has stunning views of Positano and the sea, and the tables are nicely set out. Service is good, and the food excellent. Try the pasta nerano, with lashings of fresh black truffle slices delicious ! Prices are notably higher than other Positano restaurants, but at this one you don’t get cars and scooters whizzing by , right next to your table. Take dinner here as an extra treat, forget about the higher prices, and just enjoy it.

We were recommended a very expensive wine without knowledge of what it cost, ordered same Snapper dish as my partner, her’s came as grilled with veg, mine came as baked with potatoes. Both where filleted at table poorly with lots of bones left for us to sort or choke on. Overall the worst meal in the last 20 days in Italy! also the most expensive

We had a great evening at IL Capitano. Great food and very attentive services. Antonio was extremely friendly and gave great recommendations. Made us felt like dining at home. Price was very reasonable for what was offered. In my opinion, this restaurant is Michelin standard for sure.
