Pizzaria Gelataria Maramao

Incredible! I have never experienced anything so rude! We walked halfway across the island to this pizzeria. We came to the restaurant during regular opening hours and the waitress sat two tables next to us without even saying hello. Nobody greeted us at all and they were visibly annoyed by our presence, even though we were the only guests with another table. After waiting some time we left. I've been to many restaurants on vacation all over the world but I've never experienced anything so incredibly unfriendly.

Came with family and a friend, close to closing time but still were very well served. As a matter of fact, we were not even made to feel uncomfortable by our lateness. 5 star service!! Capricciosa is my favourite but kids had prawn and chicken. Got distracted and nearly did not have pizza left for a picture lol Will be back

We have visited Porto Santo many times over the years but this was our first time to Maramao and it will definitely not be our last! We had a very attentive waiter who unfortunately I didn’t get his name. We had the mixed Bruchetta to start which was plenty for 2 to share, I had the fresh cannelloni with spinach and ricotta and my husband had the fresh pasta lasagna, both were delicious full of flavor. We finished off with their homemade tiramisu which was the perfect end to this lovely meal. We will return!

Service was very friendly and efficient. pizza we had. the homemade chili sauce was amazing glooming also gorgeous and homemade. good. highly recommended.
