Had such a lovely evening in the charter bar. From the minute we walked in we were made feel welcome by Sarah who couldn't have been nicer to ourselves and my niece and nephew, so friendly and helpfull. our extended family recently enjoyed the karvery menu. it was tasty and full, but the ambiente was dark and dry. we only ate our food and went. it would have been nice to relax over a drink, but it was dark and underworn. this I had not expected as if it was full to not create a pleasant atmosphere. That was great, we really enjoyed our meal. the best place we found in portlaoise. many options in the menu.
WE were served effecently while the bar was very busy. Drinks and food was excellent. Not overly expensive either.
The Charter Bar serves delicious food in a very friendly atmosphere. The staff is efficient and very welcoming. There is a wide selection of beers on tap and a good range of choices from the food menu.
