Technically, this review is for their brand new location in the Wells Fargo tower on 5th Ave. that just opened this week. The staff is so wonderful we're so happy to have them in the building. View all feedback.
What Michael R doesn't like about Water Avenue Coffee:
Coffee is good. I've been going to Water Ave and buying beans since they opened in their original location. Tried the downtown spot for the first time. Very limited food options besides sweets but did have an $8 breakfast burrito with veggie sausage (or ham). Fellow at the counter said they were out of veggie sausage. Told him I'd have one without either protein then. He got a little premade burrito out of a fridge,... View all feedback.
Quick and simple. The vanilla latte was really good. The scone was thick and dense, but worked really well with the layer of blueberries.
Exceptional coffee in a town of many coffee shops. I had a latte and my colleague enjoyed a cortado (half espresso and steamed milk). Nice selection of gluten free and regular pastries. The place is small and cute, in a busy corner entrance of a building. Not a place you would want to hang out and feel relaxed but if you are a coffee lover, then you are in for a treat!
With so many boutique coffee shops there is still room from the small great coffee shop that delivers great coffee options. Don't be fooled by the small size of the place, this place has a great roast of coffee that has great notes for your espresso drinks.
Friendly and gluten free pastries chia pudding available. Topo chico too! Had the River Trip drip coffee (beans from Ethiopia Limmu Kossa) that wasn't bad, but not exceptional either. Peaceful spot in clean feeling Sixth at Yamhill.
Coffee was super good and the staff were friendly and easy to talk to! Ordered a soy milk latte and they also had a great selection of gluten free and vegan sweets. Definitely recommend!
