Good service, amazing food. Holy cow! We tried something local tonight as we are out of town guests and wanted something we can’t get at home and the The Deck did not disappoint. The halibut tacos were amazing. My husband got the pesto grilled cheese and that was also sooo good. Love that you can get here by boat or land. 10/10 would return, would recommend. What Don M doesn't like about The Deck:
Wow the deck has been in decli e the last few seasons. This season not worth the venture. Everything was saturated in grease. Grease literally poured out of the chicken quesadia. Gross..the service is fair, the views have lost luster with the construction barges tied up right next to it. Honestly try Island Cafe or Puffin Cafe. View all feedback.
Great place to catch a sunset. Fun and good food! Lots of GF choices too: .
The restaurant offers an incredible view and excellent table service. They serve the best clam chowder in Portland! However, it's worth noting that there is a bit of a walk from the parking lot to the restaurant, which might be challenging for those with limited mobility. The atmosphere is really cool since it's a floating restaurant on the water, making it unique in Portland. While the food is decent and would be impressive elsewhere, with all the fantastic dining options in Portland, it's not my top choice. I recommend visiting for a drink and to enjoy the amazing experience and scenery. It's also very kid-friendly!
The view is fantastic, and there is outdoor seating available. However, we found the birds to be quite a nuisance, which forced us to change tables to escape them. The restaurant offers beer on tap and a half bay shrimp cocktail, and the happy hour menu was extensive and fresh. The steamer clams were delicious, but some needed a more thorough wash as they had a bit of sand grit. On the plus side, the service was excellent. Just a heads up: getting to and from the restaurant requires a long walk down and up a steep ramp.
Good food and drinks. View is wonderful. It is relaxing sitting and eating while on the water.
Very cool being on the water. It does move which is interesting until you get used to it.
