Unfortunate way to end a rare date night for my wife and I. Everything had a terrible aftertaste, was not smooth at all... and both of us feel very ill after eating there. Sadly this will be our first and last time visiting Staccato. Always nice going into a business and feeling like you are heavily burdening the staff, just by being there. View all feedback.
Young woman behind the counter was very kind and even though she was close to closing up took order from our big group 10 people. And even allowed me to get a second serving which was delicious!!!! The fruit flavors were very tangy and grapefruit really tasted like grapefruit. Lemon was my favorite nice and tart!
The staff was nice, cookies and cream was great, but the hazelnut and salted cream were okay.
This place has a chill environment. The staff was friendly and helpful. I get a Gelato and it was delicious.
Awesome folks running a quintessential store with a lot of board games (temporarily inaccessible due to covid). Love the vibe at this place. It has essentially everything you describe as the #portlandvibe bubbly people, good food and a perfectly earthy ambience to spend some quality time either with yourself or with someone else. Do finish-up with a coffee!
I am a huge fan of frozen desserts, so I was excited to find an easily accessible handmade gelato store close to my work. Now I come here at least a couple of times a week. Staccato Gelato is small with a cute, childlike decor and welcoming workers. I've asked them for recommendations plenty of times and they've never disappointed me. Their daily selection isn't very large (about twelve gelato options) and a lot of the flavors aren't super adventurous. However, they change up their menu every day, so it's definitely worth coming multiple times to try different things. My favorites have been the rose petal (which I've only seen once, unfortunately), the honey lavender, and the pistachio. Everything I've tried has had a lot of sweet flavors packed into the little cups, and for such a great price.
