Shawarma Express (woodstock) - Portland

The prices are a bit high, but the food is excellent.

The worst experience of all time. I ordered a philly cheese steak and paid $8. then a lamb gyro was given and $10 dollars was calculated. asked about my Philly cheese and was confronted that I didn't order, so was saddened for $8 buck without a real meal. I had witnessed, but decided to get their burgers and pommes instead of supporting me. as a second generation mexican I thought the gyro stand would be more understanding, but after the payment with a $20 was saddened by $2 dollars. will never order again and if a $20 dollar tipp for someone else decides to pay that it was best to steal and take them the $20 dollar and take them the $20 from a person who was not subordinate what was happy. extremely suggest not to support when stealing them. I wanted to be generous with drinking money when they seemed honest. but this place seems super dishonest. do not return!

You can't go wrong here. I ordered the three meat plate, with hummus and tzatzik and pita. they talk about melt in their flesh and what a taste explosion. best shawarma meat I tried in portland. 10/10.

I’ve eaten here several times since they opened. The first few times were quite good. However, the last 4-5 have been really bad with today being the worst. Not only did it take a very long time, but the order was wrong. And to top it off my partner and I have both been in the restroom all day. This is the loudest I have ever heard my stomach make noises of distress and pain.I really wanted this place to be good and I kept giving them opportunities to improve, but it’s clear they just don’t care enough. Bummer.

Holy smokes. I'm in love. This lamb over fry situation is the only thing I have had here but if the other items are just as good as this, run, don't walk. The fries are perfectly crispy, the lamb is amazing, the sauces and spices!!.. omg. All of it. 1000% I will be back and if I can pry myself away from this tasty treat I'll try other things!
