Description

Rontoms, a vibrant Portland hotspot, offers a unique blend of delicious food, carefully crafted cocktails, and a lively atmosphere. Guests can enjoy both indoor and outdoor seating, complete with heat sources for chilly nights. While many appreciated the attentive staff and flavorful cuisine, some recent visits revealed inconsistencies in food temperature and service delays, leading to mixed experiences. The lively decor and welcoming vibe make Rontoms a recommended venue, especially for its live music Sundays and dog-friendly patio. Despite occasional service hiccups, the overall ambiance and quality of offerings make it a must-visit destination in the city.

Watch out for the racist, xenophobic bouncer. Last Friday we brought my partner’s sister visiting from India and the bouncer refused to accept her Indian ID, which states in literal plain English that she is 40 years old. He told her, “you need to educate yourself on Oregon’s ID laws” and castigated her for not bringing her passport (it’s not a great idea to bring your passport on a night out). Eventually she got in but not without having to withstand his disrespect and condescension. I hope they fire this bouncer. I won’t be bringing anyone here again. Service: 1

Ive been coming here for quite some time now. Rontoms is great for a solo pop in or a night out. The bartenders and bouncer are so nice! Atmosphere is cozy. Most of the food is great but wouldnt recommend the crab cakes. Ordered them last night and the people sitting next to me cleared out prob not a good idea to sell (or order something) that smells so fishy in such a place. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great hip place, service was a little slow. Bar tender didn't multitask with orders and making them quickly. Loved the indoor/outdoor atmosphere and the ping pong table. Generated a younger hipper crowd that seemed fun loving and down to earth.I'd go again

Rontoms is one of the absolute best bars you will find in Portland. Dress up, dress down, you'll almost always fit in as long as you have a semi-put together outfit. Their grilled cheese and tomato soup dish and their fondue, plus steak appetizer, isAMAZING. Best bar in town for dates, special occasions, or f**k it fun nights with people.
