RingSide Steakhouse - Uptown - Portland

On the first day of my 2-day stay in Portland, I decided to have a delicious steak and made a reservation based on reviews. Since it was a last-minute decision, there were no regular seats available, so we were seated outdoors. Upon arriving at the restaurant and being guided to a lovely indoor atmosphere, we were then led out through a side door to find outdoor seating under a tent in the parking lot. It was quite cold as it was raining, but we proceeded with our order of onion rings (large), House Caesar Salad, and Bone-In Ribeye (for two). The onion rings were delicious but huge—another customer also ordered them and was quite surprised by the portion size. The House Caesar Salad had a hint of sardines which added a wonderful flavor. We ordered the Bone-In Ribeye cooked to a recommended medium-rare, and it was incredibly delicious. The steak was perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside, allowing us to savor the true flavor of the meat. The mashed potatoes as a side dish were plentiful, enough to fill us up even with only half of the portion. The French fries were just the right amount. The only downside was that the steak cooled quickly due to the low outdoor temperature, and the ambiance felt more like a party venue rather than a high-end restaurant. I recommend making a reservation in advance to enjoy a delicious steak in a better atmosphere.

I recently had one of the best meals I've ever experienced in Portland. The steak was cooked to perfection, the appetizers were outstanding, and the bread was absolutely delicious. Susan provided exceptional service, and all the staff were fantastic. The complimentary concierge service was a great bonus.

The food at this restaurant is consistently excellent, the service is outstanding, and the atmosphere is fantastic. Treat yourself and order the rib-eye steak!

Always good and last night was no exception. Hank was an excellent waiter. Everything met high standards.

Ringside has been our go-to special dinner place for decades. Like, 40+ years! Service and food have always been outstanding. Chadwick, our server, was great! Steaks superlative. My husband likes a rare steak. They nailed it! The onion rings are a must-have. Had the few leftovers for breakfast.
