We had a lovely dinner with friends sitting outside in the enclosed patio area. I was hoping that the noise level would be lower so that my husband with hearing issues could better hear the dinner table conversation, but that didn't work out as well as I had hoped (traffic noise contributed to the problem). What Mark S doesn't like about Laurelhurst Market:
Supposedly being part butcher shop, I would have expected a better cut of ribeye. Out of our group of five, one person liked their meal. Also a bit surprised that with a group of five, we had been charged a mandatory 20% gratuity. From the time we sat at our table to receiving our meal was one hour. Although the temperature of the steak was a bit cooler than I anticipated, this was one of the best steaks I've had in Portland. The overall food experience was amazing. I look forward to my next visit!
Had dinner here August 2nd, 2024. I loved everything about this restaurant! The steak, salad and cornbread were delicious. The service was terrific and the ambiance is lovely. We liked it so much we went back two days later for lunch. Heading back to Portland Sept 5th for my boyfriend's birthday and already made the reservation for his birthday dinner!
