Knotted Apron - Portland

The knotted apron NEVER disappoints. From their (need to try) focaccia, to the grilled onion tart to truly any entree (today we tried the restaurant week special, burger) you can never go wrong. The service is the kindest I have ever encountered in Portland. Megan made our night by being beyond helpful and showing so much kindness to not only our table, but every table around us. I will be dreaming of this food until next time!

What a lovely experience! From beginning to end, the staff and owner made our party feel special. The food and cocktails are thoughtfully curated and expertly prepared. If I didn't live so far away, the Knotted Apron would be a regular spot for my family and friends.

Excellent food. We loved the shrimp cake. I had the trout which was crispy and perfectly prepared, I wasn't fond of the sauce that came with it but it was on the side so it didn't detract. They have outdoor tables which makes for covid safe dining. 2022: Had the steak and the crab cake this time. The crab cake was good but the steak was a little tough.

July 2022: This time time this food was good but not as fabulous as a year ago. I had a crab cake appetizer and duck main entre. I enjoyed the duck, the appetizer was average. The duck side was cabbage and sour cream, an unusual combination that I liked. August 2021:Established in 2020, The Knotted Table is well positioned for safe pandemic dining. 8 outdoor tables are surrounded by flowers and positioned under umbrellas. Inside there are four tables and a bar onto the open kitchen where you can see the chefs creating their magic. And the food is magical. Shrimp cake was outstanding, with flavorful sauce and interesting sides. The duck was a great sauce with a hint of curry. The trout, a whole fish, flavorful with a great tomato and red pepper sauce. We picked the restaurant for the outdoor seating, but will be back because of the fabulous food.

Knotted Apron is consistently excellent! Beautiful outdoor patio, fantastic drinks, amazing food. And, the service is always great. Kate and Ryan are some of the nicest people and the hospitality they provide clearly demonstrates that.
