My son and I went out for lunch today after visiting Jersey Mike’s. Although I have dined at this restaurant before, I was appalled at how dirty it was today. The glass doors were smudged with greasy fingerprints, and the food prep area was covered in broth, salad, and all sorts of mess. The floor was littered with fallen food, empty wrappers, and cheese. I really enjoy the food at Jersey Mike's, but this particular location has recurring issues. Over the past six months, I've witnessed some troubling scenes, including people locking themselves in the bathroom to use drugs and passing out for over 30 minutes. I've also seen individuals under the influence bothering customers. This past weekend was the breaking point for me. The employee preparing the toppings created a major bottleneck while four others simply stood by, watching. He was adding two pickles at a time, shaking seasonings excessively, and spreading mayo multiple times, while no one stepped in to help speed things up. To make matters worse, he forgot to add the bacon to the club sandwich until he was reminded. At least three customers left after waiting in line for over 20 minutes with hardly any progress. I don't expect the teenage staff to manage these issues, but the real problem seems to be a lack of management during busy weekend hours. It feels like the franchise owner doesn’t want to invest in having a manager on-site, which negatively impacts service.
The guy at the counter was apathetic and rude..didnt know how to grill bread, was trying to grill the bread with dressing on it...that doesnt make any sense, then when i suggested oil for the grill he sloppily poured out half the container about to soakthe bread. He didnt bother cutting the sandwich in half and was not trying to provide good customer service to me at all. It wasan awful experience, he obviously hates his job or thinks people are underserving of what they are paying for.
Been here many times. This place used to be fast and have friedly diverse workers. I guess all the good workers have found a better paying job with good supervisors some where else. Now you get MacDonalds customer service.
I dined here on the afternoon of October 15, 2022. The restaurant was extremely unclean. The trash was overflowing, tables were stained with food, and there was no toilet paper in the restroom. It was clear that the place was poorly managed. As we were leaving, I noticed that the side window provided a full view of the kitchen—something I really wish I hadn't seen. It was shockingly dirty! Yikes.
I ordered a regular #13 with bacon and everything except jalapeños and pepper spread. However, the young man making my sandwich didn’t understand that I wanted it made my way. He continued to prepare it "Mike's way," without bacon, and when I expressed my dissatisfaction, he rudely told me that if I didn’t like the sandwich, I could just leave. So, I did. As I was walking away, he started yelling at me to get out and declared that I wasn’t welcome anymore. I replied with "cool man" and left. It’s really unfortunate that such poor customer service is tolerated. I’ve lost a long-time customer over this experience. The whole "I don’t want it Mike's way" idea seemed completely foreign to him, and he appeared very confused by a simple order. This was especially disappointing since I had been dreaming about this sandwich while in remote Alaska for three months. This incident occurred on 10/9/2022 around 4:45 pm.
