great bar, good service. the **** mary self-serviceable on Sunday is decent. the breakfast options are really good super cheap (the morning mess was crazy huge delicious.) return in the evening had the most amazing Gorgonzolaries, lovely Mac cheese bites (see photos.) only on the bottom was that the Jameson/Irish cream coffee we ordered (no price on the table menu) was much more than we expected. What Kylee Reichert doesn't like about Holman's Restaurant:
This rating is despite being a nice venue with decent food it isn’t for everyone. If you want to eat in a place the reminds you of an old Elk’s club then it is for you. The service was nice but definitely ended as soon the bill/tip was settled. The food was good and exactly what I want from a diner for breakfast. I had the Taco Omelet and quite a bit of sides. Three words: the damn mary bar! more words: dog-friendly terrace and 3 unisex toilets. friendly staff who regularly welcome by name. back, sure!
This looks like a bar that's been around a while, which it has. The interior is dimly lit and dark, but not uncomfortable or stuffy. There was the typical smell of stale beer that most bars get and there were divets in our table. If you don't mind a place showing its age a bit, you should enjoy the atmosphere. There's a wheel you can spin to try and win a meal! The peanut butter burger was interesting and I'd recommend trying it for anyone who is considering it. I didn't end up finishing mine off because it was a bit too much of the same after a while, but I think that's a personal thing and I know several people who would love this burger. All of the burgers looked well-made and I did end up enviously eyeing some corn dogs I saw being picked up.
The Burgers, The Breakfast, Build your own **** Mary’s on the weekends. A true Portland staple. I spun the wheel and won a free meal once. Pool, Pinball, Video Poker, Patio. Old School Portland fave.

Lots of food, good service. Spin the wheel for a chance at a free meal.
