I adore the warm, personal feel of this place. The space is pretty small- it only has 3 tables and additional bench seating, but instead of getting cramped it feels just as a coffee house should- warm, inviting, personal.Think warm, exposed woods and beams, original metal trusses, exposed brick with some new finishes mixed in. The owner (I assume) Marco is so great! He's the kind of person who makes you feel like you... View all feedback.
The service if very good! The coffee is fresh! what is really good about this place is that it roasts the coffee in-house!

The owner (I assume) Marco is so great! He's the kind of person who makes you feel like you're the only customer in the cafe, so kind and warm. I had an Americano, I really enjoyed the roast. I only wish I had known about this place sooner, it's my new favorite. Please patronize this place, it's a true gem in Portland!
This is an original and unspoiled gem in Portland. The owner is one gentleman who welcomed us to Portland. We were visiting from Texas. Our daughter was not in good spirits and he completely cheered her and all of us up when he just walked over and handed us two peach teas (one for her and one for my son). He also shared with us how when he first started the coffee shop, the neighborhood was very different than what it is now. The coffee is just fantastic and the chili-mex coffee is definitely worth trying. Be brave and you will be rewarded. I write this knowing Portland has great coffee places to begin with, but this was the best from the many places we visited. The coziness of this place reminds you of times long ago and the art work is unpretentious and authentic. I wished we could have lingered, because it is that kind of place with a fantastic Portland native owner and staff !!! They made my family's day and visit. Thank You !!!!
We stopped here for an afternoon delight and it did not disappoint. The guy behind the counter was fluent in witty banter and advanced in making coffee. I went out on a limb and got the chili-mex and it was absolutely incredible. The double espresso was also delicious and reasonably priced.
Very charming and friendly barista. He chose our drinks for us as we had not been here before. Great sense of what people will like, and great conversation while he whips up the delicious drinks. The cafe is built inside an old freight elevator and is a definite must visit in my book.
