Exceptional service! Brand was an outstanding server; he recognized my parents from a previous visit. We even had the chance to meet the owner, and the food was fantastic. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Gilda's Italian:
I ordered the appetizer that included scallops, prawns and calamari. Excellent flavor! Great dipping sauce with “artificial” scallops! There were 2.5 prawns, some white fish cut into semi circles “artificial scallops” in mostly a calamari appetizer. Amazing. When I brought it up to the server, he took my plate to the kitchen and returned to say that the white fish pieces were scallops. Great food, misleading menu. View all feedback.
Eating in gilda is authentic and tasty. the homemade Italian brot (especially the garlic bread) is absolutely amazing. super friendly service also. would definitely recommend this place if they were looking for a good Italian restaurant in the interior of portland.
Everything was absolutely terrific! Not only was the food incredible (I got the veal and tried some of the wild boar) but the staff was incredibly friendly and a joy to be served by, especially Nick! If you work there and see this, tell Nick he’s amazing!
Small dining room so make a reservation if you can. We kind staff was able to tempt us with the special, Halibut Piccata. It was absolutely delicious, bright citrus flavors with capers at the end. We also got the rigatoni Bolognese, also amazing. I highly recommend giving this place a visit!
My wife and I had a wonderful experience here. The owner and staff are pleasant and the food was delicious. You can tell they use family recipes and are each dish is made with love from the kitchen. Prices are all reasonable and they make sure you don’t leave hungry. Dessert was delectable, and the cappuccino was spectacular.
Food was excellent, service was also excellent, British Gent from Sussex, great wine selection, I haven't had the Lasagna but everyone raves about it
