LOVED IT, lots of vegan options (and lots of options for the non-vegan in your party). Had vegan dumplings, boa, and the chinese eggplant. Everything was GREAT. It's a very busy place but worth the wait (you can leave a number and they will contact you when your table is ready). View all feedback.

The food here was mediocre, especially for the price. The options are very clearly labelled, which was welcome, but the actual food execution left something to be desired. Wouldn’t not recommend the ginger fried rice as a main — there was not enough substance to it, though it was okay as an accompaniment. View all feedback.
I am not usually a fan of Chinese cuisine, but this restaurant completely impressed me with their amazing and fresh dishes! The hot and sour soup, bao, and other offerings were simply wow! The prices were reasonable, especially considering the freshness of the food and the friendly staff. The restaurant's logo is also absolutely adorable.
This is the best authentic Chinese restaurant in town. While they offer takeout, I highly recommend dining in to experience the excellent atmosphere and top-notch drinks. They prioritize using local ingredients and have skilled Chinese chefs to ensure high-quality cuisine.
Ignore the negative reviews below - there are definitely no rodents in the food or kitchen!
Empire probably has the best Chinese food in the US I’ve ever had. I’ve tried many different restaurants in Portland and I still have a hard time finding one that compares to Empire. I highly recommend the Shanghai Soup Dumplings, Kung Pao Chicken, Lobster Rangoons, Ginger Fried Rice, Bacon Fried Rice, Beef and Broad Noodles. You truly cannot go wrong with this place. Takeout only post-pandemic. Totally worth the visit!!!
Always great takeout in Portland. I wish it would open for in person dining, but until then I’ll keep enjoying the orange beef with bok choy from home!
