Atlas Pizza - Portland

I'm not really a fan of traditional New York pizza since I'm not from New York; I'm from Portland. That's why the Portland-style New York pizza at Atlas is just right for me. You can grab a slice if you're in a rush, or order a whole pie (or even two) if you're with a group. Plus, the place is family-friendly, making it a great spot for everyone.

We tried the $35 special and I thought it was great. The pizza was tasty and served quickly.

The three cheese beers on the vegan slice were a bit overwhelming, and I couldn't believe they were playing Kanye West... YIKES! The music was so loud that I had difficulty hearing the person next to me during our Saturday night visit.

I loved the pizza the first time I tried it in Woodstock, but now every time I go here I get sick as a dog. Unfortunately the salty pepperoni only tastes good going in. I have no idea why I get so sick eating here, but it happens every time. Last night, I was up until 5am taking care of myself and my fiancee. Also there is no distinguishable difference in flavor between the cheese and pepperoni pizzas only texture changes.

We tried four different slices and all four were really good. No, it's not really New York pizza but it was still tasty. The crust was fairly thin (but not cracker thin) and crusty and the toppings were fresh and tasty. The individual slices were rather large. Two was more than enough for me. Four slices was cheaper than a small pie, but I'm not sure what the actual size difference would have been. Total cost was about $19.00 for four slices and two drinks.
